In recent years, LeBron James has made it very clear that one of his dreams is to finish his NBA career playing alongside his song, Bronny James. But it doesn’t sound like that’s actually Bronny’s dream.
During the NBA Combine this week, Bronny James was asked whether or not he dreamed of playing alongside his father. And in a pretty shocking twist, he revealed that while his dad has obviously brought it up a few times, he isn’t actually all that worried about whether or not he will have a chance to play alongside his father.
“No, never. My dream has always just been to put my name out, make a name for myself, and get to the NBA, which is everyone’s end goal that’s here. I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he’s brought it up a couple of times. But yeah, I don’t think about it much,” Bronny James said according to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.
Obviously, Bronny didn’t outright say he didn’t want to play alongside his dad, but given how consistently and firmly LeBron has insisted that he wants to play alongside his son, it is quite a bit surprising to hear Bronny indicate that he didn’t necessarily share the dream.
