Last year, the New York Jets got a lot of attention from fans and the media during the offseason after the team acquired future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. But as the team heads into a second offseason with Rodgers, there isn’t quite as much buzz around the Jets – and it sounds like head coach Robert Saleh is happy about it.
During a recent interview with Steve Wyche of NFL Media, New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh acknowledged that there was a lot of attention surrounding the team last season, calling it “a little loud,” but he’s glad that does not seem to be the case this year.
“Last year was a little loud,” Saleh said according to NFL Media. “We welcome a little bit of quietness.”
Obviously, the Jets will still have a lot of buzz as long as Rodgers is leading the way, but it will not be quite the same media circus this season as it was last season, especially considering the team will not be forced into doing Hard Knocks like last season.
We’ll have to see how the Jets perform this upcoming season when they’re a little bit out of the spotlight.
