The Big Ten made the curious decision to suspend Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh from gameday sidelines for the remainder of the regular season over the football program’s sign-stealing scandal.
They made that decision while also admitting that they have no evidence that Harbaugh was aware of what staffer Connor Stalions was doing. They said that they suspended the head coach as he represents the football program and the school and they needed to create a punishment over the evidence that was provided to them by the NCAA.
This had not sat well with Michigan faithful and it certainly hasn’t sat well with former Michigan players, including those now working in the media.
While Collge GameDay’s Desmond Howard ripped the Big Ten over the investigation, Big Noon Kickoff’s Charles Woodson decided to lay down the hammer on the conference on Saturday. Woodson offered up a scathing response to the allegations and defended Harbaugh from any wrongdoing.
He ended his speech with quite the kicker.
“Am I mad? I’m only mad because I think the whole thing is ********,” Woodson said, punctuating his rant as Michigan flags flew behind him. “But other than that, we’re gonna be fine.”
Harbaugh won’t coach on Saturday against Penn State while the coach awaits a judge’s ruling on their temporary restraining order. However, if the Wolverines lose on Saturday, there might be a lot more strong language to come out of the mouths of Michigan Men next week.
