The New York Jets offense has been among the worst in the league so far this season, ranking No. 30 out of 32 NFL teams in terms of scoring offense, averaging just 16.5 points per game. And Jets star wide receiver Garrett Wilson is not happy about the way his team has played this season.
During his postgame interview after Monday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in which the Jets only managed six points, Garrett Wilson called out the team for their offensive struggles, saying their performance this season is “inexcusable.”
“It’s inexcusable, man, and it’s getting to the point where it’s disappointing,” Wilson said according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. “I hate coming off the field, looking our defense in the eyes and knowing that we have to send them back out there after three-and-out. Them boys are my dogs and they come out and ball. They put us in a great position. It’s time for us to start returning the favor, man. It’s time. We got to figure it out.”
It’s a blunt message from Wilson, and it led to a lot of reactions from the NFL world on social media.
He just needs to look behind center to see the major issue. Wilson can’t progress through reads or adjust to pressure. At all.

Who thought that they were going to win?

Yet, every week there is an excuse. ZW is not good but the penalties and drop passes are getting out of hand. There is no chance at all of him being successful with the constant negative plays.

Just think, you had Sam Darnold. Not great, but the Jets probably win AFC east with him. Zach is the gift that keeps on giving.

I am happy Woody Johnson got embarrassed in front of the world.

The Jets offense has not performed well, but the defense has managed to play well enough to give them a 4-4 record this season.
