Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker and 2008 AP Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison has gotten his share of fines for hard hits. In an interview for the August issue of Men’s Journal, the outspoken player took the opportunity to go in on The Commish, calling him a “devil” and a “crook”…some other folks got caught in the line of fire as well.
According to the Huff Post:
“If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn’t do it,” Harrison told the magazine. “I hate him and will never respect him.”
His other descriptions of the commissioner include an anti-gay slur, “stupid,” “puppet” and “dictator.”
If the Steelers had defeated the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl, Harrison said, he would have whispered in Goodell’s ear during the trophy ceremony: “Why don’t you quit and do something else, like start your own league in flag football?”
Here are some other folks that apparently also get the wrath of Harrison in the interview:
– Rodney Harrison and Tedy Brusch: “Clowns”
– Brian Cushing: “Juiced out of his mind”
– Rashard Mendenhall and Ben Roethlisberger: “didin’t come to play for Super Bowl”
Definately looking forward to seeing this entire article and hearing responses from the victims of Harrison’s rant.
