The Colorado Buffaloes got off to a strong start to the season, winning their first three games and attracting a lot of attention. But the team has hit a rough patch in recent weeks, losing four of their last five games. But head coach Deion Sanders is still remaining upbeat about the future.
During his postgame press conference following Saturday’s loss to UCLA, Deion Sanders had a clear message for Colorado fans, promising that the team will return to its winning ways once again, indicating that he doesn’t think his team has been that far off from winning the majority of their games.
“I would love to win, I’m accustomed to winning. And we will win. We will win. Just put your seatbelt on and hold on, we will win,” Sanders said postgame. “You got to see what could possibly happen with the team that we have, I mean, shoot, we only got our butts kicked once. That was in Oregon. We got our butts kicked, there wasn’t no winning that.
“All the other games, you could see how we could’ve won those games. We could’ve done that, so that’s called hope in our book, and I’m thankful and happy for that. I appreciate you all, God bless you. I want you to have a safe trip home, wherever you’re going, wherever you’re headed. Let’s wake up and smile tomorrow and bless someone.”
Colorado has a chance to bounce back this week with a game against Oregon State. We’ll have to see if they can do it.
