Former United States President Donald Trump is set to appear in federal court on Tuesday afternoon where he will face 37 criminal charges related to his handling of classified documents. But you sure wouldn’t know that from reading his social media posts.

Hours before his appearance in federal court, Donald Trump was posting about golf on Truth Social – the social network he helped create after he was banned from Twitter and Facebook.

In the post, Trump reacted to the recent merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, saying that he wonders if the players who didn’t join LIV before feel “somewhat ‘stupid’” now.

“I wonder if the PGA players who didn’t heed my advice and take the massive amounts of money that was offered to them by LIV Golf, feel somewhat ‘stupid’ right now. I predicted a MERGER, and that is exactly what happened, but whether LIV succeeded or failed, what the hell did they have to lose (except for some bull…. fed to them by highly paid PGA executives!). Plenty, in fact, more money than they will ever be able to make again. Anyway, enjoy the game!” Trump said in the post.

It’s worth noting that Trump also has a business relationship with LIV Golf that was looked into by the Department of Justice as part of the investigation leading to the charges he’ll be facing on Tuesday afternoon.

In any case, it’s certainly a wild thing to post before facing federal charges.
