Torii Hunter held his official retirement announcement press conference on Thursday morning at Target Field, calling it quits after a stellar 19-year career.
Although his 2,452 hits, 353 home runs and 1,391 RBI are impressive, he will also be known for a couple non run-producing incidents, including the time he chucked a ball back at Indians pitcher Danys Baez. During a July 2002 game, Hunter was smoked in the ribs by a Baez pitch and, after lying on the dirt for a few moments, picked up the ball and hurled it at the second-year pitcher.
