You can file this one in “How does that even happen?”.
A few Norwegian hunters somehow managed to shoot two elk on a zoo’s property. According to The Local, the men will not be punished and the chairman of the wildlife tribunal is surprisingly understanding of the “mistake”.
This is a regrettable mistake made in connection with lawful hunting on the outside of the park. It was a fatal error, but everyone understands that it was not done at all on purpose
The zoo, Polar Park, is still seeking compensation for the two elk and have begun the process to bring two new elk to their property.
Unless this is some sketchy, very casually fenced-in and operated zoo, how in the world is this not a bigger deal?
