It spelled trouble for Rory McIlroy when he wasn’t able to get his putter going in the first two rounds of the PGA Championship. He started Round 3 nine shots back of the leader at two under. Respectable but not up to his standards. Only seven holes into this round, he now stands six back of the leader. One of the shots he used to cut the deficit was a monster 64-foot eagle putt on five to get to six-under.
