It looks like Dez Bryant’s ultimatum to the Dallas Cowboys has literally paid off.
The Cowboys star wide receiver had said that he wouldn’t attend mini camp unless the Cowboys were able to get a deal done by Wednesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline but the Cowboys and Dez are about to get an agreement hammered out right before the deadline passes.
Dez Bryant and the #Cowboys will be signing a 5-year deal, I’m told. They are putting the finishing touches on it

Dez Bryant and the Cowboys have agreed to a 5-year, $70 million contract with $45 million guaranteed. Not signed but will be shortly.

Bryant is one of the best receivers in the NFL and he’s entering the prime of his career at the age of 26. Last season, Dez caught 88 receptions for 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s worth every penny that Jerry Jones can throw at him.
As a comparison, Calvin Johnson signed a seven year contract worth $113.45 million (and $48.75 million guaranteed) back in 2012.
