After the All-Star Game, the Cavaliers were the most dominant offensive force in the NBA, boasting a ridiculous 108.9 offensive rating with the big three of Lebron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving. And then Love went down with a shoulder injury, and it was down to the big two.
And now, Irving is hobbled, making it the sort of big 1.5.
Kyrie Irving had an MRI this morning that confirmed a right foot strain and tendinitis in his left knee. Amazing he can run at all.

After scoring just 12 points on 2-10 shooting in game 4 Sunday night, Irving had an MRI and was told he had a right foot sprain in addition to tendinitis in his left knee. According to Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com, the knee pain was caused by overcompensating with his left leg after the injury, causing the tendinitis.
I’m assuming Irving won’t be able to do much of this — whatever it was — anymore for at least the remainder of the series against the Bulls. Irving is known for his first step, jumper, and finish around the rim. But without his usual speed and explosiveness, I’m not sure the Cavaliers have enough firepower to blast through the Bull’s defense.
