The escalation in ridiculously gut-busting ballpark food is quickly becoming the most entertaining aspect of the upcoming baseball season and the Houston Astros have engineered a marvel in fried goodness that could go toe-to-toe with any nachos on a stick or Churro dog.
The Astros are unleashing the “Chicken and Waffle Cone.”
Yes, the odd yet delicious combination of fried chicken and waffles is coming to the MLB and it’s being packaged so that one can eat it all with one hand. Truly, these are miraculous times.
The “Chicken and Waffle Cone” is pretty straightforward. It comes with a waffle cone, fried chicken pieces, mashed potatoes and a drizzle of honey mustard. Sign me up (although that honey mustard should really be syrup or gravy if one wants the true chicken and waffles experience).
