If the Yankees are looking for a prospect to bring up to the majors who will sacrifice his body for the team, I think they have found their man.
During a preseason game on Sunday between the Yankees and the New York Mets, Jose Pirela ran directly into the center field wall trying to track down a long fly ball by the Mets’ Juan Lagares.
Jose was unable to make the catch and Lagares would eventually end up with an inside-the-park home run, but that was the last thing on anyone’s mind. Pirela was taken to a local hospital where we was diagnosed with a concussion according to Anthony Rieber of Newsday.
Yankees prospect Jose Pirela has a concussion and is getting at CT scan at a PSL hospital after crashing into CF wall.
