According to NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal, Gore shares a Miami connection with personnel on the Colts’ coaching staff which could make the prospect of landing their enticing. The Colts, like the Eagles, would also have a need for a well-rounded running back like Gore.
Indianapolis has connections to Gore with former Miami assistants Chuck Pagano and Rob Chudzinski on the staff. More importantly, they have a huge need for a reliable power running back.
The NFL’s free agency period kicks off tomorrow. At this point, it’s not even clear if Frank Gore knows who he is going to sign with.
