Over 19 years after he made his NBA debut as a lanky 19-year-old, Kevin Garnett is returning to where it all started. After waiving his no-trade clause with the Brooklyn Nets, the man that spent the first 12 years of his career in Minnesota is returning.
Garnett played his first game at Sacramento on November 3, 1995. The Wolves lost 95-86 but the future Hall of Famer scored eight points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting while grabbing one board and recording a single assist. It was not an electrifying debut but certainly an intriguing one.
Minnesota would go on to win 26 games that season, a number they will likely fall well short of this year. He would lead them to the playoffs in each of the next eight seasons, only advancing beyond the First Round in 2003-04.
