Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad had one of the biggest hits of the night around the NHL on Thursday but, unfortunately, the recipient wasn’t an opponent – it was a linesman. After dropping the puck for a second period face-off in the Wild’s zone, the official attempted to set up shop along the boards as play developed but ended up getting steamrolled from behind by Ekblad, who was trying to make a play on the puck.

Thankfully, the linesman wasn’t seriously hurt as a result, but hit certainly didn’t look like it felt great.
Also, the first comment on the YouTube video is so very #PleaseLikeMySport.
