Vancouver’s Derek Dorsett ran into an unexpected maintenance issue during last night’s game against the Wild when Minnesota defenseman Matt Dumba fired a slap shot right off his skate blade, breaking it in two. Dorsett immediately hit the deck and struggled his way to the Canucks bench while a teammate cleared his severed blade away from the action on the ice.
Considering nobody got seriously injured and the situation could have been much worse, it was pretty funny to watch.
