Higher education institutions present an array of impressive statistics, rankings, offerings and other characteristics to future students as selling points. Although it remains one of the more publicized set of rankings every year, the heavy majority do not promote their slot in the annual party school rankings. Most in academia dismiss these systems as irrelevant, poor indicators of college life and a horrendously irresponsible attribute by which to judge a school. Others (current and future students) love to see their institution sit near near the top and show great pride in attending one of the nation’s best party schools.
As college basketball recruiting season heats up and hundreds of prep players sign letters of intent, let’s look at yet another factor that might be used by current students to pitch a school or program to future students. The Week 7 College Basketball Re-Rankings rank the 25 schools in this week’s AP poll from worst to best party school, as identified by Niche.com.
