The folks at Business Insider put together a great chart which is “a comparison of Bonds to Babe Ruth by age using home runs per 500 at bats and wOBA (weighted On Base Average; an overall look at a hitter’s ability. Think OPS, but better. MLB average is ~.320).” The main takeaway I get after seeing this graph is that if Bonds would have played the game without PED’s, there wouldn’t even be a flinch at voting him in the Hall of Fame first ballot (but then again maybe his #’s would be nowhere near where they stand now).
