Taylor Swift is quickly becoming more synonymous with New York than she has been with Nashville. The country-pop singer owns a home in Tribeca, she’s recently released her new single “Welcome to New York” and she’s also been named NYC & Company’s global welcome ambassador. And as anyone who is still learning the ropes of her new favorite city (after being named NYC & Company’s global ambassador, Swift stated, “I’m still learning, but I’m so enthusiastic about this city that when I love something, I’m very vocal about it”) Swift has taken to visiting the local basketball team, the New York Knicks.
Just look at that smile. Compared to Amare and Carmelo, Swift’s is so full and bright. Like a tree’s rings, one can tell how long one has been associated with the New York Knicks by how dulled their smile gets over time. I’m not sure how long it’ll take Swift to go from this to full-on “Spike Lee during a blowout loss to the Bulls” but we now have a baseline to work with at least.
