On the one hand, the Lakers don’t stand much chance of being competitive this upcoming season. On the other hand, why even tempt fate by dissing Lil B?
Nick Young did an interview for XXL magazine and the Lakers shooting guard divulged that he spends part of his summer rapping in a studio. Unfortunately, those sessions apparently don’t go very well and Young compared himself to another rapper to make that point:
“My brother is a hip-hop head, he got a little studio in his place. We go in there, put down a couple of tracks. Mostly my songs don’t be coming out right. I end up sounding like Lil B or somebody.”
Noooooo, turn left Swaggy P, turn left.
Nobody who makes a living in the NBA should make Lil B jokes until Kevin Durant wins a championship. Tempting the Based God Curse isn’t something that ballers should take lightly.
Remember back in 2011, when Kevin Durant said that he “couldn’t believe this guy (Lil B) is relevant”? Remember how Lil B responded?
KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID “LIL B” IS A WACK RAPPER, “THE BASEDGODS CURSE” #THEBASEDGODSCURSE ON DURANT – Lil B
— Lil B From The Pack (@LILBTHEBASEDGOD) May 26, 2011
KD still hasn’t won a championship since the Based God Curse was put upon him.
Next time Nick Young makes an unfavorable comparison with another rapper, he should really use Vanilla Ice or literally anyone else. The Based God Curse is real and it should not be fooled with.
