In case you missed it on Tuesday night, Adam Wainwright caused a bit of a firestorm during the All-Star Game by stating that he grooved a couple pitches for Derek Jeter to hit in his first at-bat. Then, after his quotes went viral on social media, Wainwright had to do some damage control and backtrack on his comments in an awkward live interview with Erin Andrews, which you can watch above.
On Wednesday morning, Boston sports radio station WEEI played an audio clip of that interview during the ‘Dennis & Callahan’ show. One of the hosts, Kirk Minihane, then proceeded to absolutely lay into Andrews while on-air, even going as far as to call her a ‘gutless bitch’ for her role in the interview. It was pretty bizarre and wrong, and Minihane can be heard towards the end saying under his breath “I’m going to get in trouble for this.”
Yeah…probably, dude.
