For the first time in six years, Justin Verlander didn’t get to spend his mid-July break alongside some of baseball’s brightest stars at the All-Star Game. The Detroit Tigers starter, who is 8-8 with a 4.88 ERA at the break, failed to earn an All-Star selection this season, but don’t feel too bad for him – he found a decent Plan B.
Verlander made a trip to Mexico with supermodel girlfriend Kate Upton, where they hung out in their bathing suits and got some pretty awkward tan lines. From the looks of things, Verlander didn’t appear to be too bummed out about not being in Minnesota. Can’t say I blame him.
