Mike Mikolas made his debut for the Texas Rangers (and got some great defensive help) against the Orioles yesterday, when it was revealed that his nickname is “The Lizard King” because he once ate a live lizard while pitching for the San Diego Padres.
Eye On Baseball managed to dig up the video, which you can find above. A couple warnings first, though: It features a grown man eating a live lizard so, yeah. And second, the dude filming is horribly annoying. Might wanna hit that mute button first.
