As has been the case over the past few years, there was a lot of pink around Major League Baseball yesterday in honor of Mother’s Day. Players used pink bats, wore pink sweatbands, donned pink necklaces, and dyed their facial hair pink. Wait, what?
Okay, so only one player decided to display his support through pink facial hair – the Brewers’ Carlos Gomez. The Milwaukee outfielder dyed his goatee prior to yesterday’s game against the New York Yankees and – despite the game’s announcers giving him a little bit of ribbing for it not being the right shade of pink – it was certainly a unique tribute to all the moms out there.
