You are going to have to search long and hard to find an instance of this ever happening in the history of baseball. Ole Miss won 8-5 over Auburn on Friday night with a walk-off home run by Austin Anderson in the 13th inning, but the kicker was that the home run came as Auburn pitcher Jay Wade was trying to intentionally walk Anderson. We found it hard to believe as well, but the video doesn’t lie.
This also serves as a great reminder that if you are going to intentionally walk someone, you should probably keep the ball away from the plate.
