During Tuesday’s Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Padres, highly touted San Diego prospect Jedd Gyorko did not get his 2014 season started on the right foot. Gyorko took the relay throw from center fielder Will Venable and promptly spiked it into the grass. So if you’re scoring the play at home it goes 8-4-Grass-Dirt-Grass-Mound-1-5.
