Lollapalooza has revealed their much anticipated 2014 summer festival lineup, and it’s fu**ing amazing.
The festival organizers broke the internet early on Wednesday morning, after unleashing an impressive array of performing acts for this summer’s festival. Beginning with the largest and most impressive names, Chicago will see Outkast, Eminem, Kings Of Leon, and Nas bring their musical talents to the Windy City in August.
The three-day event, which takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park (Aug 1st-3rd), carries with it over 130 performing acts dispersed between eight different stages.
While the festival caters to all types of genres and fan-bases, the hip-hop presence in this year’s lineup is extremely potent. Along with the above mentioned legends in Outkast, Nas and Eminem, Lollapalooza also booked (Chicago’s own) Chance The Rapper, Run The Jewels (Killer Mike & El-P), Childish Gambino, Vic Mensa, and Rich Homie Quan.
While the urban genre is more prevalent than in recent years, they surely didn’t slouch on bringing in heavy hitters from all styles of music.
Rounding out some of the major and more well-known artists, Lollapalooza will provide concert goers with the music of The Artic Monkeys, Skrillex, Broken Bells, Calvin Harris, Lorde, The Avett Brothers, Foster The People, Cut Copy, Phantogram, Chromeo, The Head & The Heart, Cage The Elephant, and Gramatik, along with countless other legitimate acts.
Unfortunately, three-day passes and single day tickets for both Saturday and Sunday have already sold out within hours of their availability. So if you want to attend this year, you may have to cough up a little extra change on the secondary market.
Either way, we’ll see you in Chicago this summer.
