On Monday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning held a pretty special ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise raising the Stanley Cup in 2004.
In attendance were many former players who were a part of the championship roster, as well as Vancouver Canucks coach John Tortorella, who coached the Lightning from 2000-2008 and seems to still be very popular in Tampa.
While the celebration was pretty special, it also included a pretty laughable error that came in the opening seconds of the montage video shown:
Yep, considering it’s in the future…that’s definitely not the date the Lightning won the Cup. It obviously meant to display ‘June 7th, 2004’ but it’s pretty funny that not a single set of eyes caught the error before it hit the jumbotron in front of thousands last night.
Wrong date aside, the ceremony seemed to be a pretty special one for the players, coaches and fans in the building.
