Legarrette Blount had a huge performance in the Patriots regular season finale at home against the Bills on Sunday, racking up 334 all-purpose yards during the Pats’ 34-20 win over Buffalo.
Blount had 189 rushing yards and two touchdowns, as well as two huge kick returns, as the Patriots clinched the No. 2 seed in the AFC in Week 17. His performance was certainly headline-worthy, but the one Boston.com chose certainly raised some eyebrows.
The website – owned and operated by the Boston Globe, one of the country’s most respected newspapers – honored Blount (pronounced “Blunt”) with the following headline:
I see what you did there, Boston.com. Clever.
The headline, probably should have never been approved, has since been replaced.
