I think it is safe to say that Reds manager Bryan Price hit his boiling point right before Monday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
In fact, he lost it in such incredible fashion that it would be very hard for anyone to come close to duplicating a curse-laden tirade like he displayed. During the rant, Bryan specifically voiced his frustrations with The Enquirer and their reports that Devin Mesoraco was not with the Reds in St. Louis for the previous series.
According to Cincinnati.com:
“I don’t know what the importance is for everyone to know if we have a player that’s not here,” Price said. “We don’t benefit at all from the other teams knowing we don’t have a player.”
The Enquirer reported after Sunday’s game that Mesoraco was not available for pinch-hitting duties in the Reds‘ 2-1 loss in St. Louis. When asked after the game if Mesoraco was a consideration in that spot, Price said he was not.
It was a truthful answer, if not a complete one.The story did not sit well with Price. In his daily pregame interview with Fox Sports Ohio, Price answered the question about Mesoraco’s whereabouts, starting, “Well, obviously he’s not here. We broke that story last night, apparently,” Price said.
It was at this point that all hell broke loose and Price began his insane rant. If you are so inclined, you can read the entire transcript HERE, but we suggest listening to the above audio for the full experience.
