After spending the last 14 seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, Jimmy Rollins began his new career with the Los Angeles Dodgers with a bang.
In addition to stealing a base and going 2-for-4 in his at-bats, Rollins smacked this timely three-run home run in the eighth inning of the Dodgers’ Opening Day game against the San Diego Padres when the game was tied 3-3.
The Dodgers would go on to win the game 6-3.
Rollins seemed pretty even-keel about the whole thing, although he apparently “had a vision” about the dinger.
“I just had a vision. It’s not the first home run I’ve hit, it’s not the first one to win a game either, hopefully it’s something we can get used to.”
As far as first impressions go, Rollins is off to a good start in Los Angeles.
