After ten seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, it appears that Frank Gore will commit to signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the news on Twitter.

Barring a breakdown in talks, Frank Gore expected to sign 3-year deal in which $7.5 million in first two years are guaranteed.

Gore is reaching the tail end of his career, but he was still largely productive for the 49ers last season when he ran for 1,106 yards and four rushing touchdowns and he will go down as one of the greatest running backs in 49ers’ franchise history. Frank will be leaving San Francisco as the 49ers’ all-time rushing leader in yards and rushing touchdowns.
Gore will be tasked with filling a part of the void that was created when the Eagles traded away LeSean McCoy. As for the 49ers, it appears that they are ready to move forward with the Carlos Hyde era.
