The general rule of thumb when it comes to Twitter bets is that if you make one, don’t be surprised if you’re forced to pay up, even if it seems outlandish.
Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho found that out when he opened his Instagram DMs to find a message from a girl who had a proposition. Hannah Delmonte wanted Acho to take her to her prom and she asked if he would do it if she could get 2,000 retweets on Twitter. Not one to be won over so easily, Acho upped the ante to 10,000.
Surely, it would be incredibly difficult for a high schooler to get 10,000 retweets for a prom date, right?

Luckily for Acho, prom is months away which will give him plenty of time to get a corsage.
