There are a few ways you can respond to getting a bad gift on Christmas day – you can swallow your feelings and put on a fake smile and pretend to be grateful, or you can immediately scrap the idea of “it’s the thought that counts” and voice your displeasure with the present.
As we all know, Philadelphia sports fans have never been one to suppress their emotions.
That’s why we shouldn’t be too surprised to see this little Flyers fan react how he did when he was gifted a Sidney Crosby jersey as a prank this holiday. He barely got the sweater out of the packaging before noticing the Penguins logo and tossing it away in disgust, much to the amusement of the rest of the family.
A lot of young hockey fans would be pumped to receive a Crosby jersey as a gift, especially one of those awesome new third jerseys the Penguins debuted this season. But Flyers fans stick to a strict anti-Penguins code, and this kid just made Flyer Nation very proud.
