Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers played against the Sacramento Kings last night but a lot of focus was paid to what Kobe and Lakers chose to wear during pregame warmups.
The Lakers sported “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirts, much as other NBA players including LeBron James and Derrick Rose have done recently. And, despite the fact that the gesture is meant as a peaceful show of solidarity, CBS Sports’ Doug Gottlieb was apparently so perturbed that Bryant would wear such a shirt that he tweeted out his sizzling hot take on the subject.
Apparently, because Kobe Bryant has money, he’s effectively relinquished his right to protest about the criminal justice system. Yeah, something like that.

Gottlieb quickly deleted the tweet (the misspelled hashtag is so perfect). Unfortunately for him, the internet is forever and his dumb opinion on Kobe Bryant’s self-expression is now free for all to see.
