The “Tom Brady curses on the sideline” shot is as much a time-honored tradition of Patriots games as the “Bill Belichick frowns as his team goes up by 30” shot.
And while Brady has let his sailor-mouth run for awhile now, he’s recently gained attention for it due to the number of times that he’s been caught on national television yelling “fuck”.
However, don’t expect Brady to change his ways any time soon. In an interview with WEEI, Brady stated that he thinks “fuck” is a great word and that he’ll continue to use it when he feels that it’s appropriate (which, judging by his track record, is all the time):
“I wish I did have a better mouth out there at times, but there’s nothing that quite expresses the way I feel like that word,” he said. “It is, it is [a great word], especially in the heat of the moment. … Blame CBS and NBC for putting it on TV. Don’t blame me.”
Added Brady: “We’re not choirboys, I know that. You bring us up to a certain level of intensity to the game, your job is to go out there and physically, emotionally, mentally dominate the game. You don’t do that at church on Sunday. You’ve got to go to the football field for that.”
So, there you have it everyone. Tom Brady adores the word “fuck” and the rest of the world will just have to deal.
