Derek Carr threw a go-ahead touchdown pass to James Jones with less than two minutes remaining in the game, the Raiders sacked Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith on third down with less than a minute left, the Chiefs had no timeouts left, and the Raiders were going to win their first game of the season as long as they stopped the Chiefs on fourth down. So, they decided to celebrate … before getting a stop on fourth down … while the clock was still running … as the Chiefs were hurrying back to the line of scrimmage to run another play.
That’s so Raiders.
Luckily, the Raiders had timeouts remaining, so they called one just before Smith could snap the ball. They then forced an incomplete pass and that’s how the Raiders actually won a game.
But c’mon man.
