A few games on the Friday night NBA slate came down to the wire, one of which was a tense back-and-forth double-overtime affair between the Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks. After a bad possession by Kemba Walker set the Hawks up for a potential game-winner with 2.2 seconds remaining in the second overtime, the Hawks shot themselves in the foot with an offensive foul before the ball was even thrown in. The Hornets took advantage of their new-found luck by giving it to Lance Stephenson, who launched one of the ugliest — yet still satisfying — game winners you’ll ever see.
It’s also worth noting that this was Born Ready’s first three of the season. Better late than never, I suppose.
