Foo Fighters kicked off their week long residency on The Late Show With David Letterman last night by covering Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” The group was joined by country singer Zac Brown, who had his most recent album, The Grohl Sessions Vol. I, produced by Grohl in Nashville.
The performance is part of a 5 night residency the Foo Fighters have on Letterman to promote their upcoming album, Sonic Highways, and upcoming HBO mini-series of the same name. Sonic Highways is the eighth album from Foo Fighters and each track was recorded in a different recording studio throughout America which is detailed in the mini-series. The first episode of premieres this Friday October 17th on HBO, while the album gets released November 10th on Grohl’s Roswell Records label.
Sure Zac Brown was great with the Foos but the real highlight of their performance was Pat Smear’s constant smile while playing.
