Kansas State Wildcats head coach Bill Snyder has managed to turn the Wildcats into a national power and they are expected to be Big 12 title contenders once again. Most of their critical players will be returning (including quarterback Jake Walters) so expect the Wildcats to be a force in the coming season.
On offense the team should fare well. Quarterback Jake Walters will have wide receiver Tyler Lockett and his offensive line is very well-regarded. The running attack will have to go through a transitory phase as John Hubert is no longer there but the rest of the offense is fairly set and that should help the rushing attack stabilize itself.
As for the defense, it is expected that the Wildcats will have a very good one. Ryan Mueller had 11.5 sacks last year and he’ll head up a line that also has Travis Britz. The secondary and linebacker positions are not as strong as the d-line. In all, the Wildcats have managed to build themselves a competitive team and they should be able to compete for a bowl game and, if things go well, a Big 12 title.
The Kansas State Wildcats’ odds of winning the National Championship are currently 75-1.
