As most basketball fans know, nothing is official until Yahoo!’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports it…which is why we should probably just give Kevin Love his Cleveland Cavaliers jersey right now.
Woj is reporting (citing league sources) that the Timberwolves have an agreement in place to send Love to Cleveland in exchange for this year’s top overall pick Andrew Wiggins, last year’s top overall pick Anthony Bennett, and a protected 2015 first round draft pick.
In addition, Wojnarowski is reporting that Love will then sign a five-year contract extension worth around $120 million with the Cavaliers upon his arrival in Cleveland
Wiggins can’t be traded until August 23rd thanks to the 30-day no-trade window that comes after a rookie signs a contract, so don’t expect to hear the official news of the blockbuster trade until later this month. But if Woj has reported it, it’s all but done.
