With the 2014 World Cup in Brazil closing out yesterday, it also marked the end of ESPN’s WC coverage for at least the next twelve years as Fox will be taking over the responsibility in 2018 and 2022. Not only did ESPN do a pretty great job covering this year’s tournament, they also signed off in fantastic fashion – with the outstanding montage video you can watch above.
It encapsulates pretty much all the noteworthy highlights and storylines from the past month in South America and is pretty much the perfect way to say goodbye to the tournament. The bar has been set very, very high for Fox in 2018.
