In a story that totally isn’t just an image recovery PR move and is totally sincere, Donald Sterling attended service at a black church on Sunday. The soon-to-be former Clippers owner, who was banned from the NBA for racist remarks recorded on tape, joined Sunday’s congregation of Praises of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in South Los Angeles.
When asked about his motivations, Sterling said “I’m here to support this wonderful group.” Again, totally not a PR move.
Judging from the screencap above (via ABC Houston) it looks like not everyone in attendance for the service was happy to welcome Sterling into their group. That dude is the back right is veeeeeery skeptical, and I’m with him on this one.
