The video above was originally posted to Instagram and reportedly shows Jayru Campbell, a Michigan State University football recruit, body slamming high school security officer during a dispute at Detroit’s Cass Tech High School this week. According to WDIV in Detroit, Campbell is currently in police custody.
This isn’t the first time Campbell’s character has come into question – he was suspended back in November after punching an opponent in the handshake line following a loss.
Campbell is a four-star quarterback from the Class of 2015 but – if that is in fact him in the video – he’s got some serious issues to work out before he’ll have the chance to succeed at the college level. Reports are already circulating that Michigan State has pulled his scholarship as a result of this latest incident.
