UPDATE: Tony just got the wind knocked out of him. Call off Kyle Orton.
Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys had a rough first half on Sunday night against the New York Giants, and that was highlighted by the vicious hit Romo took from two Giants’ players. Romo was sandwiched by two Giants players (Mathias Kiwanuka and Justin Trattou) on a pass attempt. and he stayed down on the field for a few minutes following the incident. Backup Kyle Orton was forced to enter the game as folks took a look at Romo on the sidelines.
The hit happened right before halftime and Tony is expected to return in the second half.
