Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh takes a lot of crap from Miami Heat fans everyone, and rightfully so. But in this case, he’s totally in the right to call out the front-running Heat fans who were looking to beat traffic Tuesday night — you know, before finding out (too late) that basketball is a sport where three-point lines, LeBron James, Ray Allen and guys missing huge crunch-time free throws exist.

Apparently, Bosh doesn’t want the stench of fair-weatheredness polluting his arena for Game 7 (note: if Bosh really wants an arena full of loyal fans, he needs to play in a different city). In a media session Wednesday, Bosh got to fire back at the unfaithful mass:

“For all those guys [fans] who left, make sure they don’t come to Game 7,” he said. “We only want the guys who want to stay. … You never give up. People gave up on us. They can stay where they are and watch the game at home.”

Bosh also knows arena security protocol, and scolded the folks who attempted to get back in for the overtime period:

“You can’t get let back in after you leave,” Bosh said. “I know that. Hell, I’ve been to games. You can’t leave a game and then come back. It doesn’t make any sense. You left. It’s not punishment, that’s protocol.”
