Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark is undoubtedly one of the most famous and most prominent athletes on the planet right now, and a recent auction showed just how insane her fame truly is.
As the Caitlin Clark fan account “The Clark Report” pointed out, there was recently a pretty significant auction of WNBA trading cards at the Goldin December Elite card auction.
While a whopping $219,906 worth of WNBA cards were sold at the auction, Caitlin Clark cards accounted for $216,672 – 98.5 percent of the total sales.

In fact, the cheapest Caitlin Clark card sold at auction netted about four times more than the A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu cards combined.
Clark’s five cards at the auction sold for $12,322, $13,420, $40,870, $52,460, and $97,600.
This is obviously pretty insane news, but it’s also emblematic of just how popular Clark has been compared to the rest of the players in the league.
Needless to say, it led to a lot of reactions on social media.
“There can be only one,” one fan wrote on X.
“She is revolutionizing the women’s basketball game,” someone else said.
“The Caitlin Clark Effect,” another person added.
“Caitlin Clark is a global phenom,” someone else remarked.
“The true queen of this sport,” another fan added.
“If that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about the financials of the league then I don’t know what will,” someone else said.
Clearly, Clark is enormously popular, and these sales show that.
