Indiana Fever rookie sensation had arguably the best individual performance of her entire professional career on Wednesday night. But unfortunately, the Fever were still not able to pull off the victory.
During Wednesday night’s game against the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark was her team’s second-leading scorer with 24 points while also setting a new WNBA record with 19 assists in the game.
“Caitlin Clark is in a category of her own. With 19 assists in tonight’s game, Clark has set a new record for most AST in a single game in WNBA history Previously, Courtney Vandersloot held the record with 18 AST in a game for the Chicago Sky vs. the Indiana Fever in 2020,” the WNBA’s official account said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

It was one of the most dominant showings in her young WNBA career. But unfortunately for her, the performance came in a loss.
Despite Clark’s massive numbers, the Indiana Fever still fell to the Dallas Wings by a final score of 101-93.
Even though they were not able to get the victory on Wednesday night, the Fever have fought back into playoff contention thanks in no small part to a string of strong performances by Clark.
